Permanent makeup treatment focusing on powder shading of the eyebrows

Imagine waking up every day with your makeup already perfectly done. With permanent makeup, you can gently enhance your eyebrows, lips, and eyes, giving your face a beautiful expression without the daily effort. The treatment gives you a fresh and natural look that is perfect for your face. Best of all, unlike regular makeup, nothing will smudge or run, not during sports, on vacation, or even right after you wake up.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo that enhances your natural features. Pigments are carefully implanted into the upper layers of the skin using a specialized tattoo machine, creating many tiny dots of pigment that build up to create either a defined line or a soft, powdery shadow. It's perfect to create long-lasting makeup looks, such as defined eyebrows, eyeliner, or lip color. Because the pigment doesn't go as deep as a traditional tattoo, the result is a much softer look that fades naturally over time.

The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle, and you might need touch-ups to keep the color fresh. It’s a way to save time on daily makeup routines and have a consistently polished look.

Techniques for Your Perfect Look

There are different techniques depending on the look you want. For example, microblading is popular for creating natural-looking, hair-like strokes in the eyebrows. Powder brows, or ombre brows, give a softer, shaded look, similar to wearing brow powder. For eyeliner, there’s lash line enhancement, which gives a subtle definition to your lash line, or a more dramatic eyeliner effect. Lip blushing is another technique that enhances the shape and color of your lips, giving them a more defined and fuller appearance.

My Commitment to Quality and Safety

Your safety and beautiful results are my top priorities. I work exclusively with high-quality, EU-certified materials. Frequently Asked Questions

Will the color change over time?

I use high-quality pigments that are certified under EU REACH standards and designed to stay stable, but even with high-quality pigments, things like your skin type, your lifestyle, how your body heals, sun exposure, and pigment composition can all affect how the color fades.

For example, pigments with iron oxide might turn slightly reddish or pink over time. Carbon-based pigments can look more grey later, and titanium dioxide might leave a whitish tone. Almost all pigments have some of these ingredients, so the way the color changes depends on how much of each is used and how the pigment is applied.

To reduce the chance of visible changes, I apply the pigment evenly and not too deep. And if you ever want to check, I’m happy to show you the certificate for the pigments I use.

Can I get new PMU over the removed area?

Yes, absolutely, but only after the skin is fully healed and ready. If your goal is to lighten old pigment before a correction or restyling, we’ll wait at least 6 to 8 weeks after your final removal session before applying new PMU. This allows the skin to regenerate fully and gives the new pigment the best chance of holding evenly and naturally.

Am I a good candidate for permanent makeup?

Most people can safely get semi-permanent makeup, but there are a few exceptions.

  • If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s better to wait.
  • If you’re taking blood thinners, they can make healing harder and increase bleeding.
  • If you’re on antibiotics or cortisone, please wait until you’re done with them.
  • If you’ve had hyaluronic acid injections in the last 6 weeks, it’s best to let your skin heal first.
  • If you have infectious diseases like HIV or hepatitis, extra precautions are needed.
  • You must be at least 18 years old. Even with parental permission, I don’t do PMU treatment for minors.

If you’re unsure or have a medical condition, feel free to reach out and ask. I’m happy to help you figure out if it’s right for you.

Can you remove any type of pigment or color?

Yes, this method works on most pigment colors, including the difficult ones like red, blue, green, grey, or faded black. Unlike laser, which sometimes struggles with certain tones or causes color shifts, this removal process lifts all pigments safely and naturally, without the risk of them turning darker.

How long does permanent makeup last?

It’s hard to say exactly how long permanent makeup will last because it depends on many factors. It depends on how deep the pigment is placed and what your skin is like. Thicker or oilier skin, or very shallow pigment, may fade faster.

Your lifestyle matters too. A fast metabolism, regular workouts, intense skincare, and sun exposure can all make the pigment fade quicker.

In general, you can expect it to last anywhere from 1 to 5 years. But it’s not possible to say exactly when or if it will completely disappear.

Does the treatment hurt?

Everyone feels pain differently, so the experience can vary. If you’re worried, we can talk about pain relief during your consultation.

  • Eyebrows: Most people don’t find it painful, though it can feel a bit more sensitive near the nose. Some clients say it tickles, vibrates, or feels like plucking hairs.
  • Lips: Many expect this to hurt more than it actually does. The area near the nose may be slightly more uncomfortable.
  • Eyeliner: This tends to worry clients the most. But it’s more about the fear of being close to the eyes than actual pain. You may feel a scratchy sensation between the lashes, and your eyes may water, especially in the inner corners.

Overall, most clients find the treatment manageable, and I always make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

What should I do before the appointment?

To get the best results, there are a few things to keep in mind before your appointment:

  • Health check: If you have any health issues or take medication, ask your doctor if it’s okay to proceed.
  • Skin prep: Avoid strong treatments, peels, or direct sun on the area in the week before.
  • Makeup: Come without makeup to the area we’ll be treating.
  • No alcohol or caffeine: Please don’t have alcohol, caffeine, or painkillers 24 hours before your treatment. They can make you more sensitive and affect healing.
  • Plan ahead: Don’t book the appointment right before a holiday, another cosmetic treatment, or when you’re sick.

Preparing well helps your skin heal better and improves the final result. You can find more details in the pre-care instructions.

What if I don’t like the result?

Before starting any permanent makeup treatment, we always begin with a detailed consultation where we talk through your preferences, choose the right color, and map out the shape together. I don’t start the procedure until you’ve had a chance to see and approve the pre-draw.

I also work in layers, starting soft and building gradually, so we have room to adjust and fine-tune during the touch-up session. My goal is to make sure you feel completely comfortable with each step and that the final result looks natural, balanced, and exactly how you imagined.

Is a touch-up really necessary?

Yes, touch-ups are an important part of the process. After your skin has healed (around 6–8 weeks), we’ll do a second session to perfect the shape, add more depth, or adjust the color if needed. Everyone’s skin heals a bit differently, so a touch-up ensures the best possible result.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Even with careful work, clean tools, and safe products, some side effects are possible. These can include:

  • Dizziness or chills
  • Light bleeding or bruising
  • Swelling or redness
  • Minor scabbing or scarring
  • Color fading or changes, depending on your skin

There’s also a small chance of allergic reactions or infection. And since everyone’s skin heals differently, the color may fade unevenly or need a touch-up.

In the first few days, the pigment might look darker because of scabbing. The final color shows only after healing is complete. Sun, self-tanners, or certain products can also affect the result. Following the aftercare instructions is very important.

What happens during the treatment?

Before we begin, we’ll have a detailed consultation. I’ll take “before” photos (only shared with your permission), and we’ll decide together on the shape and color.

Once you’re completely happy with the plan, we’ll start the procedure. Afterward, I’ll take “after” pictures and give you a cream along with all the aftercare tips you need.

The full appointment usually takes between 1.5 to 3 hours, including consultation.
